The Tottenham Hotspur star is a vital player for Mauricio Pochettino’s side.

Tottenham star Christian Eriksen’s future is unclear at the moment, with his current contract with the club set to expire in the summer of 2020, and the Dane told TV3 Sport how the north London outfit knows exactly what he wants.
The 26-year-old joined Spurs from Ajax in the summer of 2013, for around £12.5 million, and he has gone on to firmly establish himself as a real fan favourite at the club, notching up 62 goals and 78 assists in the process.
Eriksen is absolutely vital to Tottenham, and when he is on song, Mauricio Pochettino’s men are a joy to watch.
The Argentine will undoubtedly want to keep the play-maker, and the Independent claims that Spurs are willing to offer him a new deal worth somewhere between £200,000 and £250,000 per week.
Eriksen made his position very clear on the matter, when speaking exclusively to TV3 Sport, insisting that Tottenham are aware of his stance:

“They [Tottenham] know what I want. [The future is] not something I’m thinking of. I focus on playing football, and there are many battles you have to think about which must be won. It is not the first time that there have been rumours, and when the newspapers write something.”
The problem for Tottenham is that they will not want to let Eriksen enter the final 12 months of his current contract, and with this in mind, it would be preferable for them to get the 26-year-old tied down to a new deal before the end of this season.
These deals re never easy to complete, however, and it seems as though Spurs fans will have to be patient for sometime yet.
