Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal do not think that they will be able to sign Aurelien Tchouameni from Real Madrid, according to a report.
Journalist Paul Brown has told GiveMeSport that Arsenal know that it is unlikely that they will be able to sign Aurelien Tchouameni from Real Madrid in the summer transfer window.
There has been speculation in recent days that Arsenal are among the clubs who are keen on securing the services of the 23-year-old France international defensive midfielder.
Earlier this month, Defensa Central reported that Arsenal are ready to increase their initial offer from €80 million (£68.39 million) to €90 million (£76.93 million), including bonuses, for Tchouameni.
Liverpool and Chelsea have also been linked with the midfielder, who joined Madrid from AS Monaco in the summer of 2022 for €80 million (£68.39 million) (The Guardian).
Brown said: “My understanding is that Arsenal don’t have a serious interest in Tchouameni. Even if they did, they know he’s unlikely to be leaving Real Madrid anytime soon.”

Aurelien Tchouameni unlikely to leave Real Madrid for Arsenal
In our opinion, Aurelien Tchouameni is unlikely to leave Real Madrid for Arsenal in the summer transfer window.
Tchouameni is one of the best young defensive midfielders around, and we do not think that Madrid will sell him after just one season.
Yes, the France international did not have the best of debut campaigns at the Santiago Bernabeu, but he is only 23.
Alongside Eduardo Camavinga and Jude Bellingham, Tchouameni could form a formidable Madrid midfield for years to come.
