The Everton boss believes that his side have had the better of their clashes with Manchester United this season.

Toffees boss Ronald Koeman launched an astonishing attack on Manchester United, when speaking to reporters at the weekend, claiming that he has not been impressed by Jose Mourinho’s side this season, as quoted by the Liverpool Echo.
United currently sit in fifth position in the Premier League table, one place and five points ahead of Everton, having played two games less than the Merseyside outfit.
Mourinho’s men have not exactly been the most entertaining side to watch this season, however, having scored the fewest goals out of any side currently inside the top seven in the league table.
And Koeman shared his belief that the Red Devils will miss out on the top four this season, highlighting Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s absence for the run-in as something that will be detrimental to their hopes of finishing inside the Champions League spots, as quoted by the Liverpool Echo:

“I cannot see Manchester United finishing in the top four. Zlatan’s injury looks bad and when I look at the amount of matches they are having to play this season I can see them missing the top four. I have not been impressed by the way they play. They are struggling to decide matches. With Everton we drew twice against United this season and both times there was more in it for us.”
United have a fantastic opportunity to make the Dutchman eat his words on Thursday night, when they travel to the Etihad Stadium to take on bitter rivals Manchester City.
A win for Mourinho’s men would see them jump above City into fourth spot in the table, whilst a victory by a margin of three goals or more would see them leapfrog Liverpool, into third.
And after the Everton boss’ less than flattering comments, Mourinho would enjoy nothing more than proving Koeman wrong by guiding his United team to a finish inside the top four.
