Ian Wright has claimed that Tottenham ‘haven’t got anything’, in terms of creativity, from Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Oliver Skipp and Harry Winks, as he told PL Productions (17/02/22 at 12:25 pm).

The former striker pointed out that ‘everything’ has to come from their wingbacks when Spurs want to go forward.

On paper, the above three players are defensive-minded and they are known for their hard-hitting play, rather than what they can do with their ball at their feet.

The north London club had two players – Giovani Lo Celso and Tanguy Ndombele – who could provide something different, but they never proved to be good enough, hence why they have been loaned out.

Wright spoke about Tottenham’s problems from the middle of the park and how the club just aren’t creating enough.

“I don’t who is the creativity, from a midfield point of view,” said Wright. “I think everything has to come from their wingbacks.

“They haven’t got anything (from midfield). Ndombele was meant to be the one. Lo Celso. They have both gone now.

“Look at what they have got left now in Winks, Skipp and Hojbjerg. There is not enough creativity to create chances for those guys.”

Christian Eriksen made an emotional comeback to football recently when he was signed up by Brentford.

Ever since Spurs sold the Danish superstar, they haven’t really replaced him and they could still do with his talents.

That problem doesn’t stem from the man in the dugout, but those from the top, who haven’t well and truly backed their managers like they should have done.

Either way, this is going to be a constant problem in Tottenham’s game up until the summer or until Conte comes up with a genius plan to paper over those cracks.
