Martin Tyler has warned Liverpool that they have to be ‘right at it’ from the start against Manchester City ahead of their eagerly-awaited Premier League showdown at the Etihad, as he told Sky Sports News.
The Sky Sports commentator pointed out that Man City have a ‘very good’ record in the first 15 minutes of matches.
Liverpool travel to Manchester hoping to secure three points that will overtake their title rivals at the top of the table.
It also needs to be noted that if Jurgen Klopp and his players manage to secure maximum points, then they also have a better goal difference than Pep Guardiola’s team heading into the final few weeks.
Nonetheless, with Tyler set to commentate on one of the biggest games of the 2021/22 Premier League season, this is what he had to say.
“The difference in style,” said Tyler. “The poise and the passing of Manchester City. Liverpool are much more of a heavy metal side.
“It’s very easy to say that. But they have got a lot of power. They are at you right from the start.
“But, they have to be at it right from the start because Manchester City have got a very good record in the first 15 minutes of games, so from the moment they walk out at the tunnel it will be ‘everybody watch’.”

The Premier League title could be heading down a road whereby it goes down to the last day of the season again.
Manchester City created the greatest moment in their history when they knocked Manchester United to the floor to claim the title in the dying moments against QPR.
And whilst Martin Tyler uttered the words on commentary ‘you will never see anything like this ever again’ when Sergio Aguero was wheeling away in celebration.
These two teams are producing such quality and pushing each other so hard that they might just create one more utterly crazy moment that can go down in history.
