Ian Wright thinks West Ham need to ‘win the majority’ of their remaining games if they are to secure a top-four finish, as he told Premier League Productions on Monday night.
It was another three points in the bag for David Moyes’ men as they dispatched Leeds in comfortable fashion on Monday.
Those three points leaves West Ham within touching distance of fourth-placed Chelsea, who are two points ahead of them having played a game extra.
West Ham have the likes of Leicester, Manchester United, Chelsea and Everton during these final few months of the campaign, as Wright shared his verdict on their Champions League chances.
“You have to say, Leicester’s form, Newcastle’s form, you are probably looking to get to those games (in April) still something to fight for.
“You have to say Man United’s form, at the minute, Arsenal playing okay as well.
“You have to look at that (next five games) and feel that Leicester and Newcastle games are the ones you have to they should be looking to try and get something.
“Every single one of them other games, it’ll be quite a tough game for them.
“They have to get something from the games we saw previously. Those games, if they do want to get into the top four then they have to win the majority of those games. They have to!”

This time last season, those at the London Stadium were hovering above the relegation zone and now they are hovering just outside of the top four, which has been some turnaround.
Leicester, Everton, Chelsea and Manchester United are in and around West Ham, but it’s clear their fate lies in those matches.
If the Hammers can win the majority of those matches then Champions League football may well be coming to a part of London that didn’t expect it to land on their doorstep at the start of the campaign.
