Tottenham Hotspur supporters haven’t been able to start many chants at sporting events recently, but rival fans have ‘generously’ sought to include them nonetheless.

The Lilywhites haven’t played a game of football in any competition for the guts of two weeks following a coronavirus outbreak at Hotspur Way.

Tottenham have had three outings postponed – one in the Europa Conference League and two in the Premier League – but rival supporters sung their name in a derogatory way at the World Darts Championship at Alexandra Palace this afternoon.

Footage is doing the rounds of attendants belting out ‘Tottenham get battered everywhere they go!’.

And here is how some supporters of the North London outfit reacted to the song on Twitter:

Do Tottenham get battered everywhere they go?

Well, not anymore.

Under Antonio Conte, Tottenham are looking quite formidable and that’s one of the big disappointments about their COVID outbreak.

Okay they lost to Mura in the Europa Conference League but, domestically, Spurs were flying before this two-week break and you wonder what affect it’ll have on their momentum.

Conte’s players had won three Premier League games in succession and even now, they’re only four points behind fourth-placed Arsenal – with three matches in hand!

On Sunday, they’re [hopefully] squaring off against a Liverpool outfit bang in form, however, and emerging from that one unscathed may prove difficult.

Even though it’s in North London, Liverpool are absolutely flying under Jurgen Klopp again and with these Tottenham boys having not played in so long, it could have an adverse affect on their match fitness, but time will tell.
