Rafa Benitez has labelled Tottenham a ‘very good team’ and pointed out that they didn’t have any shots on target against Everton on Sunday, as posted by the club’s official Twitter account.
The Everton boss stated that is something ‘very important’ for his side, as they recorded a goalless draw against Spurs at Goodison Park.
There was more drama towards the end of the game, with a penalty being overturned and Mason Holgate seeing red for his high challenge on Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg.
The result suited both sides because Everton’s last home game saw them concede five to Watford, whilst this was Antonio Conte’s first Premier League game in charge of Spurs.
Nonetheless, this is what Benitez had to say about Spurs and his Everton team following that weekend result.
“We play against a very good team,” said Benitez. “They didn’t have any shots on target.
“So, that’s something very important for us to ensure we can keep this balance to attack and, at the same time, defend very well.”

Managers are getting sacked left, right and centre in the Premier League, with both Daniel Farke and Dean Smith departing at the weekend.
That’s five managers who have already been sacked this season and the Christmas lights haven’t even gone up yet.
In truth, at the start of the campaign, if someone had said five Premier League managers were going to go by November, then many would have pointed towards Goodison Park, for obvious reasons.
But Benitez is steadying the ship on Merseyside, and after a strong start, things have been indifferent of late and this winter period could prove to be make or break for the Spaniard.
