Speaking on the Que Golazo Podcast, Fabrizio Romano has shared the latest on PSG’s interest in Tottenham midfielder Dele Alli.
PSG have been linked with Alli for over a year at this point, and with Mauricio Pochettino taking over at the French club earlier this season, these rumours just refuse to go away.
Romano says that PSG could go back in for Alli this summer, but it is heavily dependent on what happens with Kylian Mbappe this summer.
“To be honest, it depends on Mbappe, because if Mbappe is leaving the club they will need to sign a top striker, and I mean a really big one, but if Mbappe stays they could go for this kind of player like Dele Alli, an important midfielder, also maybe something in defence and they need a new right-back, so they have two or three positions to cover and it’s important to see what happens with Mbappe,” Romano said when asked if PSG will try again for Alli.

This is very interesting to hear.
It sounds as though PSG are still keen on signing Alli, but their financial situation seems to be a little bit complicated at the moment.
Mbappe leaving PSG seems to be a distinct possibility, so Alli could well be on his way to the French capital in the summer.
Of course, with Spurs still in need of a new manager, Alli’s future could hinge on how much the new gaffer rates him, but luckily for the England international, it seems as though he has an escape route that could see him reunited with the manager who got the best out of him at Tottenham.
