Ian Wright thinks Liverpool duo Takumi Minamino and Divock Origi will be ‘moved on’ by Liverpool, as he told PL Productions (17/02/22 at 12:50 pm).

The former striker spoke about how Liverpool don’t need to worry about what they have in attack following the recent arrival of Luis Diaz.

Added with the Colombian’s January capture, the Reds also have one of the in-form forwards on their hands in Diogo Jota, as well as the reliable Sadio Mane and Mo Salah.

Then there is the rise of teenager Harvey Elliott and the ever-dependable, Roberto Firmino, who is different to anything Jurgen Klopp has at his disposal.

As a result, Wright thinks it’s the end of the road for two players on Merseyside.

“No, you don’t (worry about Liverpool’s attack),” said Wright. “You look at Minamino and Origi.

“They are probably two of the players they can move on if they can get someone else in.

“But you look at Diaz and Jota, they have already got Mane, Firmino and Salah – Jota is amazing. If Diaz can replicate anything like that, then you feel they already got a couple that can maybe replace them.

“Can they replace them to the level Mane and Salah have been playing at? It’s a different story.”

For someone like Origi, his contract expires in the summer, but according to Sky Sports, they can extend that by 12 months depending on the number of Premier League games he starts this season.

If he does leave, then he has already written himself into the legendary books of this famous club.

The Belgian didn’t have the spotlight shone on him like a Salah or Mane, nor did he play as much as them.

But when he did, cite back to Barcelona, Everton, Champions League final, then he made himself heard.
