Tim Sherwood has stated that Leeds United can beat Tottenham ahead of their weekend meeting, as he told Premier League Productions.
Despite Leeds conceding six at Anfield last time out, Sherwood still thinks Spurs are ‘beatable’ and their recent games prove that.
Only over the weekend, they were riding a wave when they beat the Premier League champions in their own backyard.
Antonio Conte’s side then proceeded to land on Sean Dyche’s turf and lose 1-0 to Burnley on Wednesday night.
Given all of that, Sherwood thinks relegation-threatened Leeds can still do the job against the London-based side, as well as remain in England’s top-flight.
“They need Kalvin Phillips back, they need Bamford back and they need to not play against top-quality sides like Liverpool and Man City, of this world,” said Sherwood.
“They need to play against the Brentford’s. The Norwich’s. Watford’s. And the teams in and around them.
Sherwood is then told that they have Tottenham next and he responded: “Tottenham are beatable. After the Lord Mayor’s show against Man City, they go to Burnley and get turned over.
“They can beat Tottenham. Can they beat anyone on what we saw? It’s hard to believe they can beat anyone. I still think they will get enough wins. I think they have done enough to stay up.”

No team has conceded more goals than Leeds United this season and it doesn’t seem as though they will stop conceding any time soon.
The problem Spurs have had of late is that those teams that sit back on them, they have struggled to break down and overcome.
Those teams that have a go at them, push their fullbacks up, they are then a different animal and they can showcase their worth.
It’s pretty obvious what Marcelo Bielsa’s side are going to do, so it wouldn’t be a surprise if Leeds and Tottenham’s Saturday lunchtime clash finishes 5-5.
