Gabby Agbonlahor has claimed that Leeds United are a team you don’t want to be playing at Elland Road ahead of Aston Villa’s visit on Sunday.
The former Villa striker added that it’s a ‘big game’ in Yorkshire and Steven Gerrard will be ‘demanding’ his side pick up three points, after doing so last season, as he told talkSPORT on Thursday morning.
When Leeds kick off against Villa, it will be nearly a month since Jesse Marsch’s men were last in action, with postponements and the international break all contributing to their lack of game time.

It certainly hasn’t helped matters and it will be interesting to see what effect it has on the team, with Leeds conceding five goals to Brentford last time out.
As for Villa, the pressure is still on Gerrard despite their 1-0 win at home to Southampton before the international break, but the legendary midfielder will feel these upcoming matches will be perfect to start a winning run of games.
Leeds are one point ahead of Villa going into the weekend’s game, and they have played a game less, as Agbonlahor shared his thoughts on the match.
“It’s a big game,” said Agbonlahor. “Gerrard getting the win against Southampton.
“He is going to be demanding they go to Leeds and beat them. Beat them last season (at Elland Road).
“But Leeds, they aren’t a team you want to play at Elland Road. They are looking like a good team this season.”

VILLA’S INJURY PROBLEMS
Leeds fans will be too familiar with having to deal with their team being injury-stricken, from top to bottom and especially in defence.
It was a constant problem for Marcelo Bielsa last season and now Marsch has had to deal with the unfortunate nature of a number of his players being in the treatment room.
Well, Villa are now facing that problem with two of their major summer signings – Diego Carlos and Boubacar Kamara – out for the long-term.
Whilst left-back Lucas Digne is also sidelined and Matty Cash missed Poland duty over the international break because of injury.
So that’s four starters that are out of the picture for the Yorkshire trip, but Leeds fans won’t be sympathetic, that’s for sure.
