Ian Wright has said on ITV (11:47am, February 6, 2022) that Antonio Conte’s Tottenham Hotspur are favourites to win against Middlesbrough in the FA Cup.

The Arsenal legend believes that it is a good draw for Tottenham to face Championship club Middlesbrough in the fifth round of the prestigious cup competition.

Boro will take on Tottenham at the Riverside Stadium in the tie.

Tottenham got the better of Brighton and Hove Albion 3-1 at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the fourth round of the FA Cup on Saturday evening.

Middlesbrough won on penalties against Manchester United away from home at Old Trafford on Friday evening.

Wright said on ITV (11:47am, February 6, 2022): “If they give Harry Kane the chances they gave to Man United, they are out. That’s a great draw for Tottenham, to be honest.”

Tottenham Hotspur favourites v Middlesbrough

In our view, Tottenham are favourites against Middlesbrough in the fifth round of the FA Cup.

Yes, we know that Middlesbrough are a good team who are aiming for promotion to the Premier League.

Boro also have a brilliant manager in Chris Wilder, who managed Sheffield United in the Premier League.

So, it is not going to be easy for Conte’s Tottenham to win against Boro.

However, with Harry Kane back in form and banging in the goals for fun, we predict Tottenham to get the better of Middlesbrough and continue their march in the FA Cup.
