Juventus have been warned that they cannot sell one star name this summer as Thiago Motta begins his new role in Turin.

After a brilliant spell at Bologna, Thiago Motta was being touted around some of Europe’s top sides and the Italian giants won the race for the former midfielder.

It seems the Italian club have began the search for new additions to their team with HITC reporting that a deal that would take Douglas Luiz to Juventus is being worked on.

Aston Villa would potentially get Weston McKennie and Samuel Iling-Junior for the Brazilian but Juventus have been urged to not let another key man leave.

Juventus urged to keep star forward

Federico Chiesa has just 12 months left on his contract in Turin and HITC has reported that Liverpool and Newcastle United are interested in the winger.

Chiesa’s entourage has done their due diligence and have spoken to multiple English clubs in a bid to gauge their interest in the 26-year-old.

Former Juventus midfielder Alessio Tacchinardi has urged the club to hang on to the Italian winger.

“If Juve sell Chiesa, for me they are making a mistake,” Tacchinardi told TuttoMercatoWeb. “Yes, he has breaks on the pitch, but he has a terrifying engine on an explosive level, in one-on-one he is unique and you have to give him freedom of action.

“At Juve they never saw the real Chiesa: first the competition with Ronaldo, then the injury, then Allegri’s tactical demands. Chiesa has always felt misunderstood, but he has enormous potential that is still unexpressed. And, for me, when you have a strong player in the team, you keep him.”

Chiesa’s Juventus future

HITC reported that Chiesa’s representatives and Juventus were locked in talks over a new deal but these negotiations stalled.

The club’s hierarchy have made it clear to the entourage of Chiesa that if he doesn’t sign a new deal at Juventus this summer, he will be put up for sale.

English sides aren’t the only teams that are keen on the Italian, it is our understanding that Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich are also interested.
