Gary Neville has said on his podcast that Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool are not right at the moment.

The former Manchester United defender believes that Liverpool are not at the level they were a few years ago.

Neville made the comments in the wake of Liverpool failing to win against Brentford this past weekend.

The Reds played out a 3-3 draw with Brentford away from home in the Premier League this past weekend.

Jurgen Klopp’s side are at the top of the Premier League table at the moment with 14 points from six matches, a point ahead of Manchester City, Chelsea, Manchester United and Everton.

Neville said on his podcast: “I made a statement two or three weeks ago, and enough Liverpool fans on social media have thrown it back at me in the last couple of weeks since they had a few good results.

“I don’t think Liverpool are just right. That means they are still excellent, one of the best four teams, three teams in Europe, but they are just not right. I have seen them achieve a standard that is out of the world.”

Does Gary Neville have a point?

Liverpool fans are unlikely to agree with Neville’s comments.

After all, the Sky Sports pundit is a former United player.

However, Neville does have a point.

Now, a draw with a promoted club can happen in any league and for any team.

After all, no one can expect Liverpool to just win matches all the time.

However, the Reds conceded as many as three goals against Brentford.

Moreover, Liverpool conceded two goals against AC Milan in the Champions League, although they did win it in the end.

However, we must remember that the season is still in its early stages, and Liverpool are bound to improve and get better in the coming weeks.
