Speaking on the Que Golazo Podcast, Fabrizio Romano has delivered an update on how Man City feel about Erling Haaland.
The Norwegian is seemingly the hottest property in Europe at the moment, and as you can imagine, City are amongst the clubs linked with a move for the Borussia Dortmund forward.
Pep Guardiola spoke about the striker this week ahead of the Manchester club’s Champions League clash with Dortmund, and Romano has now given an update on City’s interest in the striker after the manager’s comments.
“Yes. He said he likes the player. Obviously, who doesn’t? It’s normal, but he talked about it because they were going into the Champions League against Borussia Dortmund, so it’s normal,” Romano said.
“For sure, he knows that Manchester City are interested in Haaland, and we’re not just talking about Guardiola, we’re talking about the board. They are convinced that he will be perfect, and the same for Manchester United, Real Madrid and Barcelona. It will be an amazing summer with also Chelsea. What I want to say at the moment is nobody is winning the race.”

City believe Haaland would be perfect, and to be honest, we’re inclined to agree.
The Norwegian just can’t stop scoring, and he’s got everything you’d want from a striker.
He’s big, he’s fast and he’s got a cannon of a left-foot, so if he was placed into Pep Guardiola’s free-flowing side, there’s no telling how many goals he’d score.
Sergio Aguero will be almost impossible to replace at City, but if there’s any striker in the world up to the task, it may be Haaland.
