Speaking on the Tottenham Fan Chris Cowlin YouTube channel, Fabrizio Romano has shared what he knows about Fabio Paratici’s transfer strategy at Tottenham.
Romano, being an Italian journalist, of course knows Paratici very well from his time at Juventus, and he’s already noticed that Paratici is implementing some of his old tactics in his new role.
Indeed, Romano has noticed that Paratici is using something of a scattergun approach when trying to sign players, with the journalist claiming that they’re talking with different players in the same position at the same time.
What’s been said?
Romano gave an update on Paratici’s strategy at Spurs.
“Yes, I would say yes because they are already talking with different players in the same position, and this is Fabio Paratici’s strategy and Paratici’s style, he’s not obsessed with one single player, he talks with many players in the same position and then he decides what is the best option. I’ll give you an example from Juvents last year, he had to sign one striker and he was speaking at the same time to Edin Dzeko, Luis Suarez, Alvaro Morata and Olivier Giroud, and at the end he ended up going for Morata, but he’s always changing and talking with different people, so this is his strategy,” Romano said.

New era
It seems as though the Fabio Paratici era at Tottenham will be an interesting one.
Usually, teams outline one main target and have backups in mind, but Paratici is seemingly keeping all of his options open throughout the summer.
To be honest, it sounds like hard work having to keep your eye on the ball with numerous negotiations at once, but that’s what Paratici has been hired for, and that’s what he’s doing.
Of course, it remains to be seen whether or not his signings this summer prove to be successful, but it will certainly be interesting to see how Spurs work in the window.
