Alex Mowatt and Kemar Roofe need to step up their game for Leeds United after the international break.

Alex Mowatt

Alex Mowatt is a very talented and promising young footballer, but the midfielder is not in great form at the moment.

In fact, the 21-year-old is not even guaranteed a place in the Leeds United starting lineup.

The former England Under-20 international has created three chances in four Championship appearances for Leeds so far this season.

There is no doubt that Mowatt has a lot of potential, but he has not progressed much since the summer of 2015.

The youngster was one of the best players for Leeds during the 2014-15 campaign, scoring nine goals and creating 48 chances in 38 Championship appearances.

Mowatt did not have a great 2015-16 season, and now he has been left with the task of convincing manager Garry Monk.

The young midfielder needs to step up his game after the international break and recover the form of 2014-15.

Kemar Roofe

Kemar Roofe has not exactly been disappointing for Leeds so far this season, but the 23-year-old attacker does need to improve his performance.

The summer signing from Oxford United, who can play as a winger or as a striker, has created only three chances in five Championship appearances for the Whites so far this campaign.

It is not easy for any player to adapt to the Championship after playing in League Two, and Roofe should be afforded time and patience.

However, given that Leeds paid £3 million as transfer fee to secure him, as reported by BBC Sport, Roofe does need to step up his game after the international break.
