Birmingham's Clayton Donaldson

After 10 games played, Birmingham City striker Clayton Donaldson is the Championship’s most fouled player in 2016-17, according to Opta.

The rangy front man has been sinned against on 27 occasions so far, despite playing the fewest minutes of anyone in the top 10.

And Donaldson is particularly adept at drawing fouls in the opposition penalty area, having had three spot kicks awarded to him so far – the most in the division.

Next on the list is Aston Villa winger Jack Grealish, who has been illegally halted 26 times, which is the same amount as Barnsley’s Josh Scowen, who rounds off the top three having played 255 more minutes.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, the list is made up predominantly of either attacking or wide midfield players, with Blackburn Rovers’ Craig Conway, Norwich City’s Wes Hoolahan, Brighton & Hove Albion’s Anthony Knockaert, Bristol City’s Lee Tomlin, Derby County’s Will Hughes and Aston Villa’s Jordan Ayew making up all but one of the remaining seven places, which goes to Huddersfield Town forward Elias Kachunga.
