Tottenham Hotspur fans would like to see their club bring in some established stars over the next two transfer windows.
Spurs chairman Daniel Levy received heavy criticism from the club’s fans during the summer, after he once again dithered in the transfer market, and waited until the 11th hour of transfer deadline day before making their so-called ‘marquee’ signing – Moussa Sissoko, who has turned out to be anything but a success.
There have been numerous instances when Tottenham have tried to do things on the cheap, and have been stung in the long-run.
A back-up for Harry Kane is a vital position in the Spurs squad, yet they chose to bring in the unproven Vincent Janssen to compete with the England international.

And he is another one who has to go down as a failure, so far at least.
He doesn’t seem to have the pace or finishing ability required to make it in the Premier League.
And then there was 21-year-old Georges-Kevin Nkoudou.

Another unproven youngster, signed for his potential, rather than current ability. He is yet to start a league game for Mauricio Pochettino’s men, and has looked a long way off the pace, when he has actually played.
And the Argentine must ensure that the next signings he makes are genuinely top-class footballers, who can help take the club forward.
It is all very well and good having a shiny new 61,000 capacity stadium to move into, but what happens if there is no Champions League football to support it?
The rest of the title contenders will undoubtedly be strengthening their squads over the next few transfer windows, and if Tottenham do not do the same, they are in danger of being cast adrift over the next couple of seasons, and face the very real prospect of bringing Europa League football to their new arena.
