Tim Sherwood told Optus Sport on Premier League Productions on Monday evening that ‘there’s talk’ about Scott Parker potentially taking the Tottenham job.
At this moment in time, Ryan Mason, 29, has been handed the keys to Tottenham until the end of the season.
The drive to the finishing line isn’t going to be as smooth as he thinks because he wouldn’t be in the driver’s seat if that wasn’t the case.
Nonetheless, Sherwood knows exactly how difficult it can become when in the Tottenham hot seat and he shared who should take the job in the summer.
“I think it’s encouraging if you get an English manager, who wants to play the right way, why wouldn’t you want to give him the chance to manage one of the top teams?
“Potter, for instance, I think he’s a good shout. I think Eddie (Howe) would be a good shout. There’s talk about Scott Parker, but I think it’s a little too soon for Scott.
“But he’s doing a good job with the players he has at Fulham. It’s not going to be a good PR one.
“It’s not a sexy move if he gets relegated at Fulham, and then all of a sudden, you bring him in as Spurs manager.”

Going down the road of a Parker would be a huge surprise, regardless of whether Fulham stay up or not.
But someone like Eddie Howe might get some Spurs fans talking, but they might want someone more high profile.
Then again, they did go for one of the biggest names in Mourinho and he only lasted 17 months.
