Speaking on the Sky Sports Football Podcast, Jamie Carragher has been discussing Jurgen Klopp’s future as Liverpool continue to struggle.
For the first time since his arrival, serious questions are being asked about whether or not Klopp is the man for Liverpool going forwards as the Reds sit tenth in the Premier League.
Serious questions are being asked of Klopp, but according to Carragher the German is still the man for the job.
Carragher did admit that there are other managers out there who could do a great job for the Reds, but he stood by Klopp as the man he wants in the Anfield dugout.

Carragher backs Klopp
The pundit gave his view on the Liverpool boss’ future.
“I think it’s well documented that the Dortmund hierarchy regret Klopp moving on, especially when he’s gone on to do what he’s done at Liverpool. If you change Jurgen Klopp where do you go from there? There’s other managers, and other managers who will have great success at this club in the future, but no, Klopp is still the man for me,” Carragher said.
Who could replace him?
Klopp is under pressure, but you have to consider who is out there that could replace the German right now?
The managerial market isn’t overly saturated with quality right now, and if Liverpool were to let Klopp move on, they’d only be strengthening a rival.
Make no mistake about it, Klopp is one of the great managers of this generation, and he’s simply irreplaceable for a club like Liverpool.
Carragher is right, the Reds would regret letting Klopp go, just like Borussia Dortmund have.
