West Ham United forward Michail Antonio has hinted that he could stay at the London Stadium this summer.

Michail Antonio has been linked with a move away from West Ham, but speaking on The Footballer’s Football Podcast, the 33-year-old said there is nothing concrete right now.

“Obviously I’m being linked and there are talks of me leaving,” he said. “But there’s nothing solid, there’s nothing concrete, so all I can do is keep working hard, keep playing for the team I’m currently employed by and whatever happens, happens.”

According to TEAMtalk, Wolverhampton Wanderers are plotting a move for Antonio.

The West Midlands club recently sold Raul Jimenez to Fulham so are in need of a new centre-forward.

Michail Antonio staying at West Ham would be good news

Antonio did not have his best campaign last season, managing to score just five times in the Premier League. Nevertheless, he is a good player to have around.

The Jamaica international has so much experience, while his overall goal record at West Ham is not terrible.

The Hammers have already sold Gianluca Scamacca, so trying to replace him and Antonio if David Moyes wants three senior strikers in his squad could be a bit of a headache.

As for the player himself, staying at the London Stadium could be in his best interest as well. West Ham have qualified for the Europa League after winning the Europa Conference League last term, so he now has the chance to compete in that competition again.

His contract expires next year, so the east London club may have a decision to make if a decent offer arrives for him.

He is not someone that they should be looking to push to the exit door, though. However, there is always the possibility that Antonio decides that he wants to try something new.
