The West Ham United team are desperately low on confidence at the moment.
West Ham United manager Slaven Bilic speaks with Michail Antonio
Hammers boss Slaven Bilic spoke to reporters following his side’s disappointing 3-0 defeat at Arsenal at the Emirates last night, and admitted that they are now firmly entrenched in a relegation battle, as quoted by the club’s official website.
The Croatian has found himself to be the target of heavy criticism from pundits and fans alike of late, after his West Ham side have taken only two points from their last seven Premier League outings, and sit just five points clear of 18th placed Swansea City.
The East London outfit play host to the Welsh side on Saturday in a game that will surely have huge ramifications as far as the battle for survival is concerned.
And Bilic told reporters how his Hammers side are now looking over their shoulder, suggesting that he and his players now have to be realistic about their situation, as quoted by WHUFC.com:
“We need one win and it will change everything for us. Three points at this stage of the season are massive. We are looking over our shoulders, of course, and there is no point in hiding it. It’s not being negative, it’s being realistic.”

West Ham’s 2016/17 Premier League has been nothing short of abysmal.
Many Hammers fans expected their side to kick on from last season’s seventh placed finish.
A multitude of questionable signings, and their struggles to adapt to life at their new stadium have led to the plight in which they currently find themselves in, with the threat of relegation a very real possibility.
And defeat to the Swans on Saturday really would crank the pressure up on Bilic and co.
