Speaking to West Ham United’s YouTube channel, Carlos Tevez has been discussing the Hammers’ fanbase after he returned to the club over the weekend.

Tevez was welcomed at the London Stadium as a guest of honour for the game against Burnley, and he received the warmest of welcomes upon his return to the club.

West Ham supporters absolutely love Tevez after his heroics in 2007 kept the club in the Premier League, and it seems as though the feeling is mutual as Tevez says he absolutely adores the West Ham fanbase, claiming there are no other supporters like it.

What’s been said?

Tevez had good things to say about West Ham fans.

“It was like love at first sight. I felt that I had to give something back to the fans because they gave me such a warm welcome. But as I said earlier, it was like love at first sight on both sides. There’s no other fans like at West Ham because they give it all for the club,” Tevez said.

Massive praise

For Tevez to say that there is no fanbase like West Ham’s is massive praise.

Tevez knows what it’s like to play in front of some of the most passionate fanbases in world football. After all, he’s played for the likes of Manchester United, Juventus and Boca Juniors, but for him, West Ham are totally unique.

To be fair to the striker, he’s right, there aren’t many fanbases out there like West Ham’s, and that’s what makes the Hammers such a unique team to watch and an even more unique team to play for.
