Spurs have reportedly put plans into motion for January with their main goal being to sign an attacker in the winter window.

According to Football London, Tottenham are keen to add depth to their forward line. Harry Kane, Dane Scarlett and Heung-min Son are the only players in the Spurs squad who can naturally play at striker.

However, with Scarlett still a teenager and Son much more effective out on the wing, a suitable back-up for Kane will be the priority for Spurs in the January window.

The north London side have struggled for goals this season. With Newcastle United and Brentford out-scoring the north London side in the Premier League this campaign.

With such a lack of bite upfront, a new attacker will be needed for Spurs in January. Especially with Tottenham looking likely to progress to the next round of the UEFA Europa Conference League.

With Kane’s future and form also a worry, added firepower must be at the top of Tottenham’s spending list for January. However, fans are not pleased about one aspect of the plan.

As per the report, Spurs will only target players in January they are certain a deal can be done for. And fans on social media believe this means a below-par player could be signed.
