
The Reds are the most successful team in English football, and the club are often keen to celebrate their past successes.
This week, the Merseyside club unveiled another tribute to the club’s history, revealing a goalkeeping mural at the AXA Training Ground in Kirkby.
The mural celebrates some of the brilliant glovesmen Anfield has seen over the years with the likes of Jerzy Dudek, Pepe Reina, Bruce Grobbelaar and Ray Clemence celebrated.
The Reds haven’t ignored the modern-day either, Alisson Becker features prominently on the wall, but strangely, there’s also a space for Adrian San Miguel.
Adrian isn’t a bad goalkeeper by any means, but he certainly hasn’t done enough at Liverpool to be celebrated in this way. After all, he’s only ever played 14 league games for the club.
We don’t see why Adrian is on there when players like Simon Mignolet or David James aren’t, and it’s fair to say the fanbase are equally as confused.
Indeed, supporters have been sharing their opinions on the artwork on social media, and they simply can’t believe that Adrian has made the cut.
