Speaking to Marca, Junior Firpo has been discussing Marcelo Bielsa and the massive amount of video analysis the Argentine does on Leeds’ future opponents.
Firpo is the newest addition to this Leeds squad having only joined in the summer, and as you may imagine, he’s not quite fully adapted to Marcelo Bielsa’s methods yet.
Indeed, Firpo seems to be struggling to get to grips with the amount of video analysis he’s being asked to do, claiming that he’s gone from one extreme to another, stating that he’d like the gaffer to find some middle ground.
What’s Firpo said?
The full-back has urged the manager to find some middle ground between the two approaches he has seen to video work.
“We did not see videos of the rival, neither with Valverde, nor Quique nor with Koeman. Sometimes we have seen something concrete of a rival. With Bielsa we see a lot, it is from one extreme to another and there must be a middle ground,” Firpo said.

Welcome to Leeds
Firpo may not be a fan of doing heaps and heaps of video analysis, but we’re absolutely certain that Bielsa won’t be changing his methods.
The Argentine has been doing things this way for over three decades. He leaves no stone unturned and he’s been successful when coaching like this for years.
Bielsa knows how important it is to analyse an opponent. After all, he even sent someone to spy on Derby County a few years ago, and while Firpo would like to see less analysis, his wish probably won’t be granted anytime soon.
