Jack Pitt-Brooke has said on The Ornstein & Chapman Podcast on The Athletic that Daniel Levy will not leave Tottenham Hotspur.

The Tottenham Hotspur correspondent for The Athletic has said that Spurs fans who want Levy to leave his role as the chairman of the club will be disappointed.

Pitt-Brooke has said that even if ENIC Group, who own Tottenham, were to sell, Levy would still stay on the CEO of the North London club under the prospective new owners.

The well-known and well-respected football journalist has added that Levy and Spurs owner Joe Lewis are very close, and that there is no real prospect of the Premier League club being sold anytime soon.

Pitt-Brooke said on The Ornstein & Chapman Podcast on The Athletic: “I was at the game last Wednesday where Spurs beat Southampton 2-1, and outside there were lots of banners which were saying ‘Enic Out’, ‘Levy Out’.

“They know that Daniel Levy has worked for Enic for even longer than Enic has owned Tottenham. Him and Joe Lewis are obviously incredibly close. Through Enic, Daniel Levy owns a bit of Tottenham. There is no prospect of Daniel Levy going without Enic going.

“The only way that Daniel Levy would go if Enic were to sell. And even if they did sell, there is some talk that Levy might stay on as a CEO under a new ownership. In that sense, fans calling for Levy and Enic to just step away are going to be very disappointed.”

Tottenham Hotspur fans are unhappy

There has always been some fans who have said that Tottenham need to invest more in the squad and sign some big-name players.

Under Mauricio Pochettino, Tottenham were close to winning the Premier League title and also reached the Champions League final, but the kind of investments that Chelsea, Manchester United and Manchester City have made over the years simply have not happened at Spurs.

Spurs were also involved in the failed European Super League project, and that angered some supporters even more.

A lot of Tottenham fans did not want Jose Mourinho to take over, and last week, the Portuguese was sacked.

Tottenham are not having the best of times on the pitch, with the team losing to Manchester City in the final of the Carabao Cup at the weekend.

However, Spurs are still in the running for the Premier League top four, and there is still a chance that interim-manager Ryan Mason could take the team to Champions League qualification.
