Tottenham Hotspur could be sitting on a huge sum if Eric Dier follows Kyle Walker out the door this summer.
According to a recent report from the Mirror, Manchester United are considering a £60million final offer for Tottenham Hotspur player Eric Dier, but Spurs fans should not be worried about the prospect of losing the 23-year-old, only whether the money would be reinvested into the squad.
After all, even in an inflated transfer market Dier is not worth £60million, and the prospect of making a £56million profit on a player who is not even guaranteed a starting place in his preferred position could be too good for chairman Daniel Levy to refuse.

Just as Kyle Walker had a price, so too does Dier, and while the likes of Harry Kane and Dele Alli are priceless, the same cannot be said of the former Sporting Lisbon youngster.
Like or or not, football is a business, and few people understand that better than Levy. The problem for Tottenham fans comes if they see the Walker money topped up by a huge fee for Dier and then watch it silently disappear over time.
With around £110million, Tottenham could not only sign the players necessary to take them to the next level both domestically and in Europe, they could also free up more money for wages, slightly relaxing the cap that could otherwise see them miss out on dream targets.
With a new stadium to be paid for, it would be easy to sell for top dollar and funnel the money into Tottenham’s future home, but the only reason to cash in on Dier would be to invest in the playing squad.
After all, Tottenham have proved they can sign hidden gems for relative pennies and if they do it again, potentially replacing Dier with a player like Juan Foyth, they could still go for the likes of Thomas Lemar and Isco – players who would make them an instant force in the Champions League.
