Speaking on his YouTube channel, Alasdair Gold has been discussing Tottenham Hotspur’s stadium and further plans to improve the ground.

Spurs’ new stadium is probably the most high-tech, state of the art sporting facility on the planet.

It’s modern, it’s fit for purpose and it’s multi-functional.

However, despite how brilliant the stadium is, Spurs aren’t resting on their laurels, with Gold claiming that there is already discussion around improving the hydraulics system that removes the football pitch and reveals the NFL pitch underneath to make that process quicker.

Spurs looking for improvement

Gold shared what he knows about Spurs’ plans to improve the stadium.

“I know they will constantly be looking to improve it. That’s the point of the stadium that you can constantly do that. There has been talk about improving the system with the pitch that takes it all off, the hydraulic system that takes it off. That can be improved to be faster, because I think the dream for Spurs is to have an NFL-Football double header, just making that a quicker system,” Gold said.

Exciting

The idea of an NFL-Football double header at the Spurs stadium is an exciting prospect as a sports fan.

So many in the UK are now getting into American Football, so combining that with ‘soccer’ on the same day would be a dream day out for many.

Of course, from a Spurs perspective, this would be a huge revenue booster, but the downside is that you’d likely be filling the stadium with more fair-weather fans if you’re putting the NFL on as well after the game.

The fact that Spurs are looking for constant improvements on the stadium is exciting though, and it will be interesting to see what else they do going forwards.
