Speaking on the official Leeds United Podcast, Angus Kinnear has shared what Leeds United’s vision is in the transfer market.
Leeds United seem to have done the hard part, with survival in the Premier League this season looking all but confirmed, and now they need to go forward and consolidate that position.
Last term they had a lot of work to do, and they spent almost £100m on crafting a squad ready for the Premier League, and Kinnear says that there are already plans in place for the summer and the club have a vision to strengthen with each passing season.
“I think we’re in good shape and there will be opportunities to strengthen, and you know, Victor has those conversations with Marcelo and Andrea and there are plans you know, the market is changing and we decided that January, as most of the Premier League did, was a particularly bad time this year due to the pandemic and how the market was looking, but the vision is to strengthen year on year,” Kinnear said.

It seems as though Leeds are set to take a more gradual approach to recruitment going forward as Kinnear speaks about a vision to strengthen year on year.
Leeds made a massive stride forward last summer with a hefty outlay, but they’ve proven they have a team capable of competing in the Premier League, and they don’t really need a massive overhaul this time around.
It will certainly be interesting to see what Leeds do in the window this summer.
