Everton have shown promise under new boss Theo Walcott.

Everton winger Theo Walcott has told The Mirror that he thinks there is now a ‘very positive structure’ at the club following Marco Silva’s arrival as a replacement for Sam Allardyce.
The Toffees took two big decisions this summer as they sacked both manager Allardyce and director of football Steve Walsh, in order to bring Silva and Marcel Brands as their replacements.
In truth, majority shareholder Farhad Moshiri had little option but to make a change, as Everton fans had very quickly become disgruntled with Allardyce’s style of play at Goodison Park.
‘Big Sam’ may have ensured that Everton weren’t in a relegation battle following Ronald Koeman’s struggles, but Toffees fans were well within their rights to demand a more expansive brand of football given the money spent on signings.
So far, new boss Silva – who was wanted before Allardyce’s appointment – has provided just that, and remains unbeaten in the Premier League after a win and two draws in the first three games.
With six goals scored in three games, Everton are showing exciting attacking potential under Silva, and one Allardyce signing has thrived with two goals in his last two outings.
Theo Walcott – signed for £20million on £110,000-a-week by Allardyce (Guardian) – has now told The Mirror that he thinks there is a new ‘very positive structure’ at the club, though he was always going to try his hardest for Allardyce.

Walcott noted that Everton train with high intensity and are attempting to play as such, and admitted that the Toffees squad are currently very positive about the early stages of Silva’s reign.
“Obviously I was Sam’s signing and I wanted to do well for him,” said Walcott. “Whoever is in charge I’m going to be working as hard as possible, but there is a very positive structure we have. The way we train is with that high intensity, the manager is bedding that into our system and it’s becoming a habit which is what you want it to become.”
“You have to train the way you play. And then the manager will play you. Obviously we are learning from him as well, and what he brings to the team. It’s very positive in the group and that’s what you want it to be,” he added.
