Theo Walcott has posted a cheeky dig at Tottenham after Arsenal beat their London rivals at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium 2-0 on Sunday – uploading the famous picture of Walcott saying 2-0 while stretchered off in a 2-0 win in 2014.
Spurs were poor in the first half and Arsenal fully capitalised. Bukayo Saka’s effort was fumbled into his own net by the out-of-form Spurs captain Hugo Lloris. Then, Martin Odegaard was given way too much space, and he found the net.
Antonio Conte’s men did rally in the second half – a trend synonymous with Spurs at the moment. But they were not able to get anything from the game. Aaron Ramsdale kept a ninth Premier League clean sheet of the 22-23 season.
Arsenal icon Walcott was pictured back in 2014 holding up a 2-0 sign, after Arsenal beat Spurs 2-0 in January 2014. He re-uploaded that picture to Instagram following the result, as Arsenal re-produced the same result on Sunday evening.

Arsenal showed why Tottenham need to back Conte, and do so for a number of transfer windows. Mikel Arteta has been given that show of confidence over the last few windows. It is starting to show on the pitch. Arsenal are firing.
They look unbeatable at the moment, taking their chances, but remaining defensively impenetrable. They are now eight points clear at the top of the table. Something that would have been seen as unlikely at the start of the season.
For Spurs, a lot of work is needed if they are to catch Arsenal. This season, not a chance. Conte needs at least a couple of seasons of proper backing in the transfer market to stand any chance. Will he get that? Only time will tell, at Spurs.
