Walcott played at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday afternoon, as he started for Everton in their Premier League game against Tottenham on the final day of the season.
The 30-year-old former Arsenal star played well and also scored in the 69th minute, as the match ended in a 2-2 draw.
Walcott – who has been on the books of Everton since January 2018 when he joined from Arsenal for a transfer fee reported by Sky Sports to be worth £20 million – has given his take on White Hart Lane.
Walcott told Football.London: “I’m not gonna lie, it’s a fantastic stadium. A fantastic arena. They’re obviously in the final of the Champions League and have done fantastically well.
“It’s a great place to play football, it really is, and they have worked really hard. It’s taken a long time and I know it has been a lot of stress for everyone behind closed doors, but it has paid off when you see it.
“But I do feel the walk from the coach to the dressing room was just a little bit too long — because I was walking past Tottenham fans! But no, you have to give everybody involved a lot of credit because they have done a great job.”
