Arsenal beat Swansea City 2-1 at the Emirates on Saturday.
Arsenal forward Theo Walcott has admitted to BBC Sport that their win over Swansea City was one in which they had to grind out the result.
The Gunners hosted Swansea City at the Emirates on Saturday afternoon looking to continue their strong start to the season.
They managed to do just that as two goals from Walcott and a strike from Mesut Ozil saw them to a 3-2 victory.
As the scoreline suggests it was not a comfortable afternoon for Arsene Wenger’s side, as the Swans, managed by Bob Bradley for the first time, refused to give up without a fight.
And Walcott has admitted to BBC Sport that they had to grind out all three points from the game.
“It was a crazy game,” he said.
“That is a tough Swansea side – people definitely underestimate them. They caused us problems out there today.”
“The belief has always been there in the dressing room. We have got players who have come in and have settled in well and we need to build in it. We are grinding out results when called upon and that was definitely a grind today”
The result was certainly a positive one for Arsenal and sees them continue their strong start to the campaign.
It was their sixth consecutive win in the Premier League and saw them move up to second place in the table as a result.
They are now level with Manchester City at the top of the table, with just goal difference separating the two sides at present.
