Harry Redknapp thinks ‘there is something wrong’ if Tottenham can’t finish in the top four this season, as he told talkSPORT.
The former Premier League boss added ‘I will be truthful’ in the sense that he thinks Tottenham have had an easier run of games recently.
There were a host of home matches for Conte’s side in recent weeks, including an all-action 2-2 draw against Liverpool, as well as progressing through to the semi-finals of the League Cup by beating West Ham.
But they were on their travels on Tuesday and they recorded a 1-1 draw against Southampton, despite the home side being reduced to ten men in the first half.
Despite that, it’s seven Premier League games unbeaten for Conte, which no other Spurs manager has done in their first seven matches, as Redknapp shared his thoughts on the Italian and their top-four chances.
“I will be truthful,” said Redknapp. “The games have fallen in their favour. They have had plenty of home games.
“And they have good players Have a look at their team. They are entitled to be up there.
“But if they can’t finish in the top four with that team, then there is something wrong.
“You look at the start of the year, top three, Manchester City, Liverpool and Chelsea. Then you are looking at Man United or Tottenham really. They are entitled to be pushing for a top-four place.”

Given the COVID issues, which are resulting in games being postponed, it’s hard to gauge where teams are at and how to compare them with those around them.
Tottenham are one of the teams that have several games in hand and are currently sitting in sixth place – five points behind fourth-placed Arsenal with two games in hand.
But one of the most important sets of fixtures awaits Conte in January, including three games against Chelsea and the north London derby.
If things go wrong, then they may well find themselves out of the EFL Cup and losing against the likes of Chelsea and Arsenal in the league.
But if they manage to come through it, then Spurs would possibly consider themselves as favourites for those top-four spots and adding a trophy to their cabinet.
