Dharmesh Sheth has claimed that Pape Matar Sarr will leave Tottenham Hotspur at the end of the 2022 summer transfer window if Yves Bissouma and Oliver Skipp recover from their respective issues, as he told Sky Sports News.
The Sky Sports reporter shared that Bissouma picked up COVID in pre-season and he is ‘just making his way back’, whilst Skipp is injured and if they ‘both are recovered’ by September 1, then Sarr will head for the exit door.
Tottenham paid £14.5 million for the midfielder last summer (DM) when he arrived from Metz, but he was loaned straight back to the French club.

The 19-year-old is attracting interest from Italian giants AC Milan and could depart north London for good, without playing a single seniorminute, but a loan deal has also been spoken about.
With Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Rodrigo Bentacur and now summer signing, Bissouma, ahead of Sarr, it’s understandable why he would be behind the senior trio.
But surely Spurs will only allow the talented French teenager to leave on a loan deal, because when they signed him last summer, they beat a number of Premier League clubs to his signature and he is still highly-rated.
Nonetheless, this is what transfer expert Sheth had to say about Sarr’s future, with the midfielder left out of Tottenham’s matchday squad that beat Southampton at the weekend.
“Another player they signed last summer is Pape Matar Sarr, he came from Metz, they signed him for around £14 million,” said Sheth.
“But as part of the deal, he went back on loan to Metz for the season and he is now back at Tottenham. They are yet to decide whether he will go on loan or be part of the first team squad.
“I think they will decide towards the end of this transfer window because Yves Bissouma contracted COVID, so he missed part of the South Korea tour. He is just making his way back.
“Oliver Skipp as well has had an injury. If he recovers and they are both recovered, up to full speed, at the end of the window, then Antonio Conte will probably decide that Sarr could go out on loan again.”

CONTE FOR THE HERE AND NOW
Tottenham’s trophy-laden boss has proven throughout his career that he prefers to work with ready-made players and those with experience under their belt.
Sarr is still walking up that road, so it’s no surprise Conte is happy for him to leave this summer, with four players ahead of him fighting for two midfield options.
If Spurs need another midfield option, then it’s perhaps a more attack-minded midfielder, someone who can split the lines or carry the ball forward that is needed.
Now, those at Hotspur Way would point towards a certain Tanguy Ndombele, but he isn’t part of Conte’s plan and could also head for the exit door before the window shuts.
