Martin Keown shared that he is hearing that Alexandre Lacazette is being ‘really supportive’ to the young players, as he told BT Sport during their live coverage of Arsenal’s FA Cup defeat at Southampton on Saturday.
To the disappointment of many Arsenal fans, Lacazette was brought on from the bench, rather than starting, as Arsenal were knocked out of the FA Cup over the weekend.
Whilst Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has stolen the goalscoring limelight in recent seasons, it’s Lacazette who is now the top marksman this season.
Nonetheless, Highbury legend Keown shared what he is hearing about Arsenal’s £47 million man [BBC Sport].
“I have heard the young players saying what a big help he is for them,” said Keown. “Really supportive.
“Arsenal’s top-scorer with nine goals, Lacazette in what has been a difficult year for Aubameyang, but he is starting to come to life.”

It’s the young players who have been Arsenal’s shining lights this season and it’s their senior stars who have been a major disappointment.
That was proven by Mikel Arteta’s team selection in the FA Cup when the likes of Emile Smith-Rowe were rested yet Willian started the match.
Well, Arsenal will be making the same trip to the South Coast on Tuesday night, this time with Smith-Rowe, as they hope to climb up that Premier League table.
