‘The world has gone’: Some Leeds fans react to confirmed news coming from PL rivals

On April 3, Leeds United will host neighbours Sheffield United, but not in the manner many expected.

Football can be a crazy world and it’s proven to be just that on Saturday evening.

Sheffield United confirmed the expected that Chris Wilder has left the club by mutual consent, with ex-Leeds boss Paul Heckingbottom taking the reigns until the end of the season.

Understandably, this has caught the eyes of the Leeds faithful, with some stunned that it has come to this situation for the Blades.

But Leeds supporters are being careful as to what they say because they can see Heckingbottom guiding the soon-to-be relegated club to three points at Elland Road in a few weeks time.

When Leeds parted ways with Heckingbottom in 2018, not many thought that he would be competing with the now club legend Marcelo Bielsa in England’s top-flight.

Well, that’s exactly what will happen and it just proves that ‘anything can happen in football’.

But Leeds fans are being wary about facing Sheffield United now because they can sense a potential upset from a mile off.

This can end two ways for Leeds. They either thump their rivals or lose 1-0 to a late Ollie McBurnie or Billy Sharp goal.
