Spain were crowned the 2026 World Cup champions over the weekend, with forward Ferran Torres opting to celebrate in an interesting way.
The final, which took place at MetLife Stadium, saw both Spain and Argentina fail to score in 90 minutes of action.
Eventually, Torres netted the only goal of the match in extra time, and he has since been spotted wearing a ‘Make Spain Great Again’ cap at the World Cup trophy parade celebrations.

Depending on how you view it, the Spanish star could be seen to be making fun of Donald Trump and his ‘Make America Great Again’ slogan, or he could be showing his support for the United States President.
Well, the official account for The White House on social media seems to be joining in on the fun, anyway.
They quoted a video of Torres at the Spain parade with his cap on and wrote: “Everyone wants in on the movement.”
However, a number of people in the replies to the tweet seem to think that Torres was actually mocking the MAGA movement.
One wrote: “Nah gang he was mocking y’all, but you aren’t ready for that conversation.”
“That joke went above your head to retweet this,” added another.
A third commented: “I’m pretty sure he’s mocking y’all.”
Another tweeted: “You realize he’s mocking MAGA, right? Of course not….”
A fourth decided to add: “He is trolling you MAGA,” while another stated: “Y’all really can’t tell that someone mocks and makes fun of you, can ya? I’m not surprised.”
Torres himself has not spoken out about wearing the ‘Make Spain Great Again’ cap during the World Cup celebrations at the time of writing.
