Kalvin Phillips has made it clear that those inside Leeds United never talk about possible relegation.
The England international added ‘we don’t need to speak’ about that possible scenario or situation, as he told Leeds United’s official website.
Whilst the Yorkshire ship has now settled from the rocky and choppy waters it was on a few months ago.
There would have been many preparing to don their life jackets because it seemed like they were going to make that jump from the Premier League to the Championship.
Whilst it isn’t mathematically confirmed that Leeds will survive, many feel the job is done, as Phillips shared his thoughts on the matter.
“The target is always to survive in the Premier League,” said Phillips. “We don’t really speak in the group as if we’re going to go down or there’s a chance of us going down, we are always confident.
“That’s the way it should be, I don’t think we need to speak about it, we have important games between now and the end of the season.
“We have to do better than the teams around us and hopefully we can finish off the season well.”

Jesse Marsch has to be credited for the job he has done during such a short space of time.
Not only was this about quality, but it was also about getting the players to feel mentally relaxed and confident once more.
Perhaps the best thing Marsch has done is what he has been saying to his players, rather than how he has been setting them up.
They have still been on the front foot, like they were under Marcelo Bielsa, but that man-to-man marking system has been well and truly ditched.
