‘The way he moves’: Arteta floored by Arsenal player Wenger said has ‘strong character’

Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta has raved about Alexandre Lacazette to Football.London.

Arteta has said that he has been impressed with how the France international striker has been training and was happy to see him score in the Gunners’ 2-0 victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers away from home in the Premier League on Saturday evening.

Lacazette – described by then Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger as a player who has “a strong character” on the club’s official website in July 2017 – scored in the 86th minute.

Arteta said about Lacazette to Football.London: “I’m so happy for him. He completely deserves that, the way he moves and trains every day.”

According to WhoScored, against Wolves on Saturday evening, Lacazette took one shot which ended in goal, had a pass accuracy of 100%, took 11 touches, attempted one dribble, and made two tackles and one clearance.

So far this season, the 29-year-old France international striker has scored eight goals and provided three assists in 25 Premier League matches for Arsenal, according to WhoScored.

During the 2018-19 campaign, the striker scored 13 goals and provided eight assists in 35 league games for the North London outfit, according to WhoScored.
