Paul Merson has predicted on SportsKeeda that Marcelo Bielsa’s Leeds United will win against Brentford at Elland Road in the Premier League this weekend.

Leeds will take on Brentford at Elland Road in the league on Sunday afternoon.

Former Arsenal star Merson believes that Marcelo Bielsa’s side will pick up all three points from the encounter.

The Sky Sports pundit believes that Leeds will win the match 2-0 against promoted side Brentford.

Leeds United v Brentford prediction

Merson told SportsKeeda : “Leeds scored a massive goal against Crystal Palace the other day, and it’s now opened up a gap between them and the bottom three.

“They were also given a bit of a helping hand by an incredible miss by Benteke, and they’ve managed to steer themselves towards safety.

“I thought Brentford were poor this week – they got run ragged by Spurs. They did well in the Everton game but they haven’t been consistent enough in the Premier League.

“Leeds will be confident after their midweek victory and hold the upper hand in this game.”

Leeds United will win

In our opinion, Merson is right.

We also predict Leeds to win against Brentford at Elland Road this weekend.

Leeds won against Crystal Palace at Elland Road in the Premier League on Tuesday evening.

That will have certainly enhanced the confidence of the players.

Moreover, Patrick Bamford is back from injury and is likely to feature against Brentford.

However, we cannot write off Brentford now.

We have seen how organised the Bees are.

Leeds have to be careful against Brentford and should not get complacent.
