Tim Sherwood has raved about Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka on talkSPORT (8:41am, November 15, 2022) and has included the Gunners star in this Premier League Team of the Season so far.
The former Tottenham Hotspur manager has been blown away by the turnaround of Xhaka in an Arsenal shirt.
Sherwood has been impressed by how the £30 million (Sky Sports) Switzerland international has done when played in an advanced midfield role.

The pundit said, as transcribed by TBR: “I’m going for Granit Xhaka – the turnaround of his character and his performances.
“I put him in holding midfield, but it’s probably wrong because that’s probably where he’s not very reliable.
“He’s been brilliant going further forward, like he does for Switzerland.
“I’ve got to have him in because of the transformation of where he was and where he’s come back to.”
Impressive
In our view, Granit Xhaka has been one of the best and most important players for Arsenal so far this season.
The 30-year-old is not getting into confrontations with opposition players on the pitch and is not getting unnecessary yellow or red cards.
Xhaka look a very different and more mature player, and with Thomas Partey playing in the holding midfield role, the Swiss star has been given the licence to move forward.
The Arsenal no. 34 has scored three goals and given three assists in 14 Premier League appearances so far this season.
Xhaka has made four starts and one substitute appearance in the UEFA Europa League for the Gunners so far this campaign.
The Switzerland international has scored one goal in those matches.
