‘The truth is’: Summer signing says he’s been shocked since moving to Tottenham

Tottenham Hotspur’s Sergio Reguilon has admitted to Sky Sports that he has been shocked since moving to the club.

Reguilon joined Tottenham from Real Madrid over the summer, in a transfer move that went through quickly.

Spurs acted with haste as soon as they found out Reguilon’s availability, such was the desire to bring the left-back in.

And the Spaniard jumped at the chance to move to North London.

The fact that the deal went through so swiftly meant that Reguilon didn’t have too much time to take stock of the situation.

But the 23-year-old says that he is delighted with Tottenham’s facilities, and he is shocked by just how impressive they are.

“Since I arrived here, the truth is the club has surprised me in a very good way,” he said.

“The training facilities, my team-mates, everything. The stadium is insane. I have really enjoyed it so far.”

Reguilon has made an immediate impact at Spurs since arriving, with the full-back quickly becoming Jose Mourinho’s side’s first choice down the left.

Reguilon has added a new dimension to Tottenham’s attacking play, and his assist for Harry Kane at the weekend is likely to become a regular sight.

Reguilon and his Spurs teammates are set to be in action again later this evening, when they take on LASK in the Europa League.
