Tottenham Hotspur lost against Chelsea in the Premier League on Saturday evening.
Garth Crooks has written on BBC Sport that Tottenham Hotspur have a lot of growing up to do.
Crooks made the comments following Tottenham’s failure to win against Chelsea in the London derby at the weekend.
Spurs suffered a 2-1 defeat to London rivals Chelsea away from home at Stamford Bridge in the Premier League on Saturday evening.

Although Mauricio Pocettino’s side played well in the first half, they failed to match the Blues in the second period.
Former Tottenham forward Crooks has criticised Spurs, and has claimed that they have a lot of growing up to do.

“Spurs meanwhile, and quite infuriatingly, continue to struggle to win the games that really matter,” Crooks wrote on BBC Sport.
“A lot was made of this fixture as being the revenge match for the humiliating draw at Stamford Bridge last season that ended any thought of Spurs winning the title. The truth is that Tottenham still have a lot of growing up to do.
“It’s all very well boss Mauricio Pochettino insisting Spurs were the better side, but it’s Chelsea who took all the points and were laughing all the way back to SW6.”
Tottenham’s recent form has been far from impressive, and there is a chance that the North London outfit could be out of the Premier League title race.
There is a long way to go this season, and if Spurs are able to put together a run during the festive period, then they could get back in it.
Spurs are fifth in the Premier League table at the moment with 24 points from 13 matches, seven points behind leaders Chelsea.
