Tottenham Hotspur have had some incredible players in the squad down the years, but who did the fans vote for?
The results from HITC Sport’s poll asking which Tottenham legend in the prime would fans back to make the biggest impact in the current team are in. But which Spurs hero did the supporters vote into the top three?
3rd: Glenn Hoddle (17%)
The goalscoring midfielder comfortably secured a spot in the top three, claiming nearly a fifth of the vote. Few boasted as much talent as Glenn Hoddle, and a fair share of Spurs fans clearly would love to see what a partnership between Hoddle and Harry Kane would look like.
2nd: Gareth Bale (26%)

He may not quite be a Tottenham legend as such, but there is no question that Gareth Bale would have secured such status had he stayed at White Hart Lane. The Welshman was the side’s talisman for a few years before moving to Real Madrid, leaving some to dream about how good Mauricio Pochettino’s side with the addition of Bale would be. Title-winning surely.
1st: Jimmy Greaves (33%)
It is not surprising that a third of Tottenham fans decided that Jimmy Greaves, in his prime, would make the greatest impact in the current team, despite Harry Kane’s continued form. Spurs lack depth up front, so their highest ever goalscorer would undoubtedly be an excellent addition. Once again, the title would surely be on its way to Spurs if they had Greaves and Kane working with one another, as it would surely not matter how many goals they conceded along the way.
