Former Swansea City captain Ashley Williams believes that Manchester City signing Harry Kane will wrap up the Premier League title for Pep Guardiola’s side.

Speaking to BBC Sport, the pundit claimed that bringing in the Tottenham superstar will be the final piece in the puzzle for City in all but guaranteeing the league title for the second season in a row.

The Manchester giants have made just one signing this window in the form of Jack Grealish, who joined City for a British record fee of £100m according to BBC Sport.

But even with the England international, Williams thinks City should sign Kane if they’re to clinch the title.

The former Wales international said: “City are the best team and squad in the league. They have added Grealish and if they get Kane then the title is done.

“Even without Kane, or another top-class striker, as a team they have got goals everywhere. And their style of play doesn’t need a recognised centre-forward.”

Indeed, City need a striker with Sergio Aguero yet to be replaced after his departure from the Etihad. And a new man leading the line will be key if Guardiola is to retain the Premier League title.

And with Kane seemingly City’s top target for the summer, the reigning champions will have to go big to sign the Tottenham striker, who Daniel Levy is eager to keep hold of for the upcoming season.
