Chelsea star Cesc Fabregas feels the team have the qualities to win everything this season.
Chelsea midfield star Cesc Fabregas has revealed the three qualities he believes could fire the Blues to an historic quadruple this season.
No club has pulled off the feat since Sir Alex Ferguson at Manchester United but Fabregas believes it’s possible for Chelsea, if they show certain characteristics over the rest of the campaign.
“I’m enjoying it. We have a very strong squad, not just the team. Everyone performs really well and we will need everyone until the end of the season if we want to go for everything,” said the midfielder.
“Time will tell. It’s all up to us. We definitely have the talent, the discipline and the courage to do it from what I’ve seen so far from my short time here.”
Jose Mourinho has reportedly banned talk of Chelsea winning everything amongst his squad, but they look the best team in the country by far and have breezed into the semi-finals of the League Cup after seeing off Derby last night.
The talent Fabregas talks about comes from the exciting players in the team.
Himself along with the likes of Eden Hazard, Oscar, Diego costa any many others are all capable of turning matches on their heads and doing something special which wins a game and secures points for the team.
The discipline comes from the well drilled defensive players in the back four and midfield.
Chelsea have a settle defence, which makes consistency easier and they have disciplined holding midfielders in the form of Nemanja Matic and John Obi Mikel who make the lives of the more creative players much easier.
The courage comes all over the pitch but is embodied by players like John Terry and Diego Costa who aren’t afraid to get involved in scraps, regardless of who they’re playing against and that rubs off on the rest of the squad.
Mourinho may have banned quadruple talk but it’s definitely possible.
